Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesday Sweepstakes!

Andover Fabrics' Summer School Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes

Hey Andover Fabrics Fans! Announcing the Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes!

Ready to win the latest designer fabrics from Andover Fabrics?

Here’s how it works:

For the rest of the summer every Tuesday is now officially Fat Quarter Tuesday!

Each week on Fat Quarter Tuesday we’ll post a question  about the work of one of our designers. The answers to each question may be found in the videos of our most recent Andover Fabrics Schoolhouse Sessions that were held in Salt Lake City this May (2011).

The Andover Fabrics Schoolhouse videos may be found on our YouTube channel.

YouTube Logo

There is one Salt Lake City May 2011 video for each designer, and one contest question and answer taken from each video.

Just watch the videos to find the answers to our contest questions.

When you have the answer from any of the videos, email it to us at contest@andoverfabrics.com.

Prizes:

The Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes Weekly Prize:

You’ll have approximately a week to send in your answer/entry for the previous week’s contest.

Each week that you answer our Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes question correctly, you’ll be entered to win one (1) large fat quarter bundle of fabric from our featured designer’s collection.

But wait! There’s more!

The Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes Grand Prize:

Contestants who answer all of our Summer Schoolhouse Fat Quarter Tuesdays Sweepstakes questions correctly will also be entered to win our Grand Prize, which is one (1) large fat quarter bundle of from each of our seven featured designers’ collections. For a total of seven (7) fat quarter bundles!

If you get started with the contest after we’ve already given away some or all of the weekly prices don’t worry! You may still enter the Grand Prize drawing by sending in an entry email which includes all 7 correct answers.

All prizewinners will be chosen at random from among the pool of contestants that send in the correct answers by the drawing date for the corresponding prize.

We’ll be aggregating all contestant’s answers by their unique email address, so if you enter all of the Weekly Prize contests we’ll be gathering all your answers for entry into the Grand Prize contest automatically. Be sure to send all of your entries from the same email account.

Remember, you must answer all seven questions correctly in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize.

Introducing Jo Morton’s Carolina Collection and New Book!

May 2011 – News from Jo Morton:

Spring is “trying” to arrive, but for some reason or another we had fire in the wood burning stove this evening!

“Carolina” will begin shipping in the next week or so — I checked with Andover today and it is in cutting and wrapping now.  My newest group features three pretty colorways:  blue/brown/dark cream; red/black/cream; and rust/black/tan.  Click Here to see the collection on Andover Fabric’s website:

New Book — “Banner Day!”
I’m excited that we are so very close to having this book for you!  I love the projects and I know you will too.  Good news is that we ended up with a new project using “Hurrah” in a strippy setting that you will love.  Also, due to the amount of interest in my “Liberty Eagle” pattern, it will be “worth repeating” again as the book it was in is out of print.

“Murphy” showed up to help me with this book — you know Murphy, if anything will go wrong or slow it down, well it did.  There are many hands that make the books available and it seems every one of us has had “life” interfere in one way or another, but mostly me.   So finally, we were able to send Murphy packing!!!  Hurrah!!!
Looking forward to Spring Quilt Market in Salt Lake City — Come see me at “Schoolhouse” — Room 255C from 12:05 to 12:35 — or in my Booth #900.

Don’t forget that Jo will be gone to Quilt Mrket — leaving Monday, May 9, returning by Tuesday evening, May 17 in time for Russ’s birthday. Have a house guest on Wednesday — back to work on Thursday, May 19.
.
Warm regards,
Jo Morton

New Book and Give-Away with Nancy Murty

Boy oh boy, things have been really busy here at Bee Creative Studio. My new fabric collection Sentiments is arriving in quilt shops, I have a new book being released next month with C&T and with quilt market just around the corner, I’ve been busy sewing.

One project I really enjoyed making was the quilt from the Sentiments line. Are you looking for a quick and easy baby quilt this spring? Add borders to the adorable printed panel and you’ll have a new quilt complete in an afternoon. The enhanced pattern has directions to cut the preprinted panel to size and features the “gaggle of geese” construction method. Quilt finishes to 41″ x 53″.

CLICK HERE for the Sentiments FreeBee pattern.

In celebration of my new book Sisterhood – A Quilting Tradition with C&T Publishing and new fabric collection Sentiments with Andover, I’ve decided to have another give-away. There will be two lucky winners who will each receive a set of Sentiments quilter’s quarters!

It’s easy. All you have to do is visit my blog at nancymurty.typepad.com and leave a comment on the “start of something special” post by March 26th on how you got started quilting. Was it a baby quilt like my mother, pillows for the couch or a wedding quilt?

I’ll select two names by the use of a random number generator, contact the winners for mailing information and post the winning names on the blog.

I look forward to reading your comments.

Happy Sewing!

If you’re like me, you’re dreaming of the sweet season of Spring! Even on cold winter days, we can be assured that it will come!

Need’l Love has three new quilt designs that will be available next week. Shown is a closeup of the “Pretty in Pink” quilt from my “Sweet Baskets” booklet.

“Sweet Baskets” booklet features three designs by Gerry-Kimmel Carr.

“Pretty in Pink” uses selected fabrics from my “Itsy Bits” collections.

“My Little Red Baskets” was created from “Stone Cottage” fabrics — you may still have some in your inventory, or can substitute to get the same look.

“Primitive Baskets” is a color study/scrappy quilt made from a variety of my past fabric collections.

Retail price: $12.00

Rose Maison Cover

This lovely quilt was designed by Becky Cogan and uses the “Rose Maison” fabric collection.

I love the sweet little pinwheels, set with larger pinwheels, and then bordered with the soft floral!

Plus, you know that Halloween fabric is now as popular as Christmas fabric, so I’m sure this collection will fly out your doors and you can begin planning for Fall models and classes now!

I’m absolutely in love with these fabrics! Soft reds, clear blues and linen shades will combine for beautiful results in all your projects!

You’ll be seeing some designs soon — in the meantime, be sure and get your fabric order in to Andover! See the collection on their website by clicking on the fabrics image.

Please call or email me to place your pattern order – or Andover to place your order for any of my fabric collections!

Be sure and keep up with me on Facebook — I just posted more information on the “Sweet Baskets” booklet, and will continue to add more.
