as I and my quilting club, The Glory Bee’s, have committed to making 100 baby quilts to donate to St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Missouri which was destroyed in a tornado in May. We felt that with all the struggles the folks in Joplin have endured it would be a wonderful thing for the first 100 babies born in the new hospital to go home with a beautiful new quilt. We also are making 100 flannel swaddling blankets for the nursery, 100 pairs of knit hand mitts and 100 of those darling caps they put on newborns.
