We are so pleased to announce Jeanne Gwin, of Warrensburg, Missouri is the lucky winner of Jo Morton’s “Elizabethtown” Fat Quarter collection! A very happy Jeanne writes:
“Thank you so much. I am always so surprised when I win. Fortunately today I organized/reorganized my sewing studio and there just so happens to be a space for my win. I am excited.
Thank you so much for holding this giveaway and allowing me the opportunity to enter. Fabric is so appreciated
as I and my quilting club, The Glory Bee’s, have committed to making 100 baby quilts to donate to St. John’s Hospital in Joplin, Missouri which was destroyed in a tornado in May. We felt that with all the struggles the folks in Joplin have endured it would be a wonderful thing for the first 100 babies born in the new hospital to go home with a beautiful new quilt. We also are making 100 flannel swaddling blankets for the nursery, 100 pairs of knit hand mitts and 100 of those darling caps they put on newborns. We are excited to get all of them done and present them when the door open for the first day!”
Jeanne’s favorite quote is:
“You cannot live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.” ~ John Wooden on Helping Others and Paying It Forward
